About
Hey there! I’m Hannah—a writer, editor, and educator in the Sacramento area.
If you need feedback on your poetry collection, detailed edits to your fantasy manuscript, or a one-on-one coach in your corner, I’m your editor!
I have a Bachelor of Arts in earth science from Sacramento State: a degree that uniquely contributes to my writing and editorial styles. Using specific concise language and staying true to nature and its natural laws—even when working with and writing fantasy manuscripts—are two of my hallmarks. Our world is rich and magical in its own rights and I think it deserves to be highlighted. But as an editor, maintaining your voice is my number one priority!
I have served on the editorial staff of literary magazines ranging from fiction and poetry editors all the way to Co-Editor-in-Chief. I currently work as Senior Editor for Myth & Verity, Inc. where we focus on helping LGBTQIA+ and other disadvantaged authors find their voice and make their manuscripts shine.
Between balancing my growing family and focusing on bettering my health, I’m chipping away on a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing focused on poetry, at Ashland University’s low-residency programs. I also earned a literary publishing certificate from American River College; I’m sure it will be awarded if I ever completes the paperwork.
My poetry appears in multiple literary magazines and anthologies. I’m working on a chapbook disseminating what it means to be in an AFAB body and everything we inherit when we grow into queer women in a world that isn’t always accepting. On the end of fiction, I’m refining a fantasy manuscript I can’t seem to leave into the past and expanding my skills by experimenting with literary fiction.
